Welcome to our site for the Rarities standard for the great dane. we are a new organization dedicated to showing danes in their disqualified colors & markings that are not allowed in the akc shows. merle's, although you can get akc papers for them, are not recognized in the show ring as well as some mismarked harlequins, mantle's, blue's etc.

I, Lori Damaso, am the founder of this standard & the owner of 7 beautiful danes from our own kennel name, East Coast Danes. we started showing our danes in the late summer of 2006 with Rarities, our girl Olivia (East Coasts American Beauty) was the first merle in the country to show with them at only 10 months old.
